Maritime New Zealand.
Designing for Safety, Story, and Connection.
Working with Maritime NZ offered the opportunity to bring purpose and storytelling together through design. I helped develop their brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and clarity across all touchpoints, and led the creative for their office fit-out at the new headquarters in Wellington, translating the organisation’s values and connection to Aotearoa’s waters into an inspiring physical environment.
Alongside this, I contributed to campaign work focused on water safety, including the “Come Home Safe” campaign, a heartfelt initiative that turned serious safety reminders into playful, family-driven “contracts” between boaties and their loved ones. The campaign resonated deeply across New Zealand and was recognised as an EFFIES finalist for its impact.
Together, these projects reflect how design can not only shape identity and space but also help save lives — by connecting people to messages that truly matter.
